Special workers go by train from Sambalpur to Kanpur
Sambalpur: The country is closed due to Corona. As a result, migrants across the country are stranded in all parts of the country. In such a situation, special trains are running on special trains, at the request of the state governments. The first special train from Sambalpur will run from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. A meeting has been held between the district administration and Sambalpur railway zone and all preparations have been finalized. 1,500 migrant workers will be brought from different locations and housed in the Burla Visut Pulsatya Hostel. After that, 50 buses will be brought to the station in phases.
The special train for migrant workers will leave from Kshatrajpur station in Sambalpur at 2 pm and for Kanpur Central at 4 pm. A total of 24 general coaches will be attached to the train, which will arrive at Kanpur Central Station at 8.30 am on Thursday. The train will pass through Ib, Brajrajnagar, Bilaspur, Katni, Manikpur, Prayagraj stations.
Sambalpur District Magistrate Shubham Saxena on Wednesday implemented Section 14 of the 200-meter rule around Kshatrajpur railway station area from 10 am to 6 pm for public safety. The state and railway police have kept the railway station under tight security.
